Score up as timer goes up4/29/2023 In this case I am considering a play on goal being while the ball is in the box. There isn't a referee, but so what if it bounces in the box again? If the offense messes up and the defense STILL can't clear it then it is still their fault. Like I said before, it isn't that challenging for the defense to clear the box.įinally, I love Rocket League and I think the gameplay and controls are all incredible, but this is one of the few aspects that bum me out during games. It's a similar strategy to the defense trying to ground the ball when it is in the air after the timer has run out. And as I said before xD, if your shot ends up on the ground, too bad, you should have shot higher The only "good reason why it shouldn't be implemented" that you need is that it is perfect the way it is already. What if after a shot there is a rebound for your team, would that count too? What about ending the game after the first "shoot", we all know some obvious shots don't count as shots and some passes count as shots. Considering Rocket League is obviously a close relative to soccer, it would draw straight from the rules of an actual soccer game where the referee won't end the game or the half if the team in possession is clearly near a goal. Obviously this isn't a huge problem and definitely not an incredibly important fix, but I believe it would add to the end game tension of having to get that ball out of your goal area and prevent the team from tieing the game. If it was programmed so that the timer would not end the game at 0:00 if the ball was either in the air OR in the enemy's goal box, we wouldn't have to worry about these disapponting end games. This has either saved my ♥♥♥ or lost my team the game multiple times, and it feels a bit sad either way. There at the end game screen you see your ball frozen halfway in. ![]() ![]() Before it can roll all the way into the goal, the timer goes out and you lose instead of going into overtime. The ball is centered, and your buddy takes the shot. (And since people commented on it, this is a situation that has happened to me or teams I have played against and not a made up situation) Your team is losing 2 to 3, there is about 5 seconds left and your team get a breakaway at the enemy goal. I don't know if there is a list of changes coming soon or that are already going to be put in the game and if there is it would be great if someone could link that for me.
